about Me
I am Sahamapthi (Call me Saham), a Sales & Commercial analyst with over seven years industrial experience and passionate about extracting useful insights from data and using them to find lucrative solutions and business prospects. I relocated from Sri Lanka to Germany in 2015 to pursue my higher education. I am a passionate traveler, hiker, cyclist, and photographer.
My Current Job Role
At the moment I work as Sales & Commercial analyst for DISH Digital Solution which is a sister company of Metro AG based in Dusseldorf. My responsibilities expands from Analysing variouse data sources to provide different Business forecasts and analyses for 12 different Metro countries in Europe. Also I hold the responsibilities in matching user requirements with live Tableau dashboards interacting with the Data warehouse. Additionally I also hold the responsibility in Sales enablement ops of Metro countries to ensure Stakeholder daily operational requirements are streamlined smootly. And also Own Specific operations in Odoo such asset management, Price changes and product updates.
My previous experience
My career path has been enhanced by my experience in project management and business operations. In these roles, I was skilled at coordinating strategic solutions for various kinds of problems by successfully implementing projects. Also, I hold a master’s degree in international business administration, a journey that honed my skills in critical thinking methodologies to solve real-world business cases.
Who am I when I am not an analyst?
I love traveling; Meet new cultures and traditions trying different cuisines, sharing values, and making everlasting memories. I am a passionate photographer, cyclist, and hiker who loves to conquer long hiking and cycling trails over multiple days.
My next steps
I am always poised to embark on a new chapter in my life. New challenges, New experience ,New people new learning curves keeps me motivated and evolving. I have a special interest in the SAAS, Ebergy sector, tech startups, service, and automotive industries, drawn to their dynamic nature and the opportunities they offer for innovation and strategic problem-solving. Specialized with proficiency in Analytics, Reporting,Forecasting, databases, and Data visualization, my goal is to contribute in transforming data into actionable and profitable stories and strategies.
