about Me
I am Sahamapthi (Call me Saham), a Data/Business analyst passionate about extracting useful insights from data and using them to find lucrative solutions and business prospects. I relocated from Sri Lanka to Germany in 2015 to pursue my higher education. I am a passionate traveler, hiker, cyclist, and photographer.
My previous experience
My career path has been enhanced by my experience in project management and business operations. In these roles, I was skilled at coordinating strategic solutions for various kinds of problems by successfully implementing projects. Also, I hold a master’s degree in international business administration, a journey that honed my skills in critical thinking methodologies to solve real-world business cases.
Why I am into Data Analytics
In my previous roles, particularly in project management and business operations, I saw the pivotal role that data plays in accurate decision-making processes. The realization of the power that data prompted a profound shift in my professional trajectory. I discovered a genuine passion for crafting narratives from data, a skill set that harmonizes seamlessly with my academic foundation in International Business Administration.
My passion is data analytics.
The more I dive deep in analytics I find that how magnificant that taking a data set from its raw stage towards a visual story to wind up solutions to critical business cases. I enjoy cleaning raw data srt to find critical answers through thorough analysis and then using visualization tools to bring the story behind data for the respective stakeholders.
Who am I when I am not an analyst?
I love traveling; Meet new cultures and traditions trying different cuisines, sharing values, and making everlasting memories. I am a passionate photographer, cyclist, and hiker who loves to conquer long hiking and cycling trails over multiple days.
My next steps
I am poised to embark on a new chapter, aiming to jumpstart my career as a Data/Business Analyst by synergizing my existing skills with newfound technical expertise. I have a special interest in the tech startups, service, and automotive industries, drawn to their dynamic nature and the opportunities they offer for innovation and strategic problem-solving. Armed with proficiency in databases, visualizations, and statistical modeling, my goal is to contribute to companies by transforming data into actionable and profitable plans.
